Current opportunities

Mud Rotary / Coring driller 

Must be experienced with geotechnical drilling, SPT sampling, Shelby tubes etc., installation of instrumentation, grouting, conventional and rock coring.

Requirements
The work is outdoors year-round, in all weather. Drug and alcohol testing is a mandatory requirement. If you can’t pass, you can’t work.


Candidates must have flexible schedules and be willing work out of town frequently. Job sites and hours of work change often.


A good driving record is required. Being on time is a must, as is the ability to work safely as part of a team. Candidates must have their own transportation to get to and from our Edmonton shop.

Oilfield experience is NOT an asset


Sonic Driller

We are seeking an experienced sonic driller.  Must be experienced in geotechnical and environmental sampling, installations of monitoring wells and inclinometers, grouting and Aqua-lock samplers.

Competitive pay commensurate with experience, plus safety bonus and benefits. Mobile Augers is a modern, forward-thinking company, and staff work with modern drilling equipment that sets the industry standard.
We’re VERY serious about safety, so don’t consider applying if you are the type of person who cuts corners or can’t follow safe work practices.

Driller Assistants - Edmonton, Calgary, and Saskatoon openings 


These positions are ideal for someone who is dependable, likes working outdoors with minimal supervision, and wants to get ahead. Bring a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, and we’ll train you for a rewarding career.

What we offer: Starting pay rate is $21.50 / hr, plus quarterly safety bonus. Benefits after 3 months.  Great opportunities for advancement!

Responsibilities

Driller Assistants help the Driller obtain core samples, which our clients use to design foundations for new buildings, refineries, roads, dams, etc. On a typical day, Driller Assistants load drills and trucks with all the tooling and supplies required for the job. The Driller Assistant may then drive the drill or a support truck to the job. Working closely with the Driller and the client, the Driller Assistant prepares sampling devices, gives samples to the client, gets augers and other drill tooling for the driller (this involves heavy lifting), and keeps the work area clean by shoveling dirt away from the borehole. The work is outdoors, and very physically demanding. We’re VERY serious about safety, so don’t consider applying if you are the type of person who cuts corners or can’t follow safe work practices.

Requirements

  • No experience necessary. The work is outdoors year-round, in all weather. Drug and alcohol testing is a mandatory requirement of our clients. If you can’t pass, you can’t work.
  • Candidates MUST have flexible schedules and be willing work out of town frequently. Job sites and hours of work change often.
  • A good driving record is required (no more than 2 tickets, none serious, and NO DUI’s.)
  • Being on time is a must, as is the ability to work safely as part of a team.
  • Candidates MUST have their own transportation to get to and from our Edmonton or Calgary shops.
  • Oilfield experience is NOT an asset.
